Dr. Zoe Rizou is currently a Post-Doc Researcher and a member of the Adjunct Academic Staff at the Department of Informatics of the University of Western Macedonia. She has received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the M.Sc. in System Technologies and Satellite Telecommunications and the Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace. The subject of her dissertation was “Microring resonator design with application to performance improvement of optically and electrically modulated semiconductor optical amplifier”.
Her research interests include communication networks, simulation-mathematical modeling and algorithms. She is an author or co-author of 8 scientific journals, 1 book chapter, 7 international conferences and 2 national conferences.
Dr. Zoe Rizou is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Greek Technical Chamber (TEE) since 2011.
